Anytime you remove your exhaust manifold for repairs, or upgrades, it is a good idea to replace the gaskets that seal the manifold to the heads. These gaskets typically experience extreme temperatures for long periods of time, so while removing the exhaust manifold the pre-existing gaskets may become brittle and/or come apart.
